Depends on your likes, but Cotton Row and 801 Franklin are among our best/finest. Suren's is good, kind of upscale Ti, food, Sun Cafe general Asian fair. There is a range of BBQ places and I am sure each has its good/bad points.
I frequent/like Mezza Luna, CynShea's, Rosie's, Phil Sandavol's, Moe's BBQ, and Mellow Mushroom and Phuket in Providence.
For Beer selection, the Nook is king. Wings Beauregard's.

There are a number of good BBQ places here. Dreamland for ribs, several good pork/vinager sauce places, Gibson's (also pies), Thomason's, Lawlers (more), Old Hickory (in Madison) for Brisket, I like Moes for sides and Turkey. Grandville's (on Oakwood) potato salad is remarkable.
There is a an old place on Greenbrier Rd (due north of 565), that I like to take out-of-towners to. The BBQ may not be the top for the area, but the place/atmosphere worth a trip.
We have a couple of micro-breweries here Old Town and Strait to Ale. Their brews are available on tap at several local restaurants, you should give them a try if you get the chance.
