I was going to my grandparents 60th anniversary dinner last night and I was late as shit... SO I decide to speed... I get on the Bay Way, and there is a huge no traffic empty stretch of road, yay! I lay on the gas and slip into VTEC in 6th gear... holy screaming mother of jesus. Its fun in VTEC without boost, with it... ofmg... Last time I looked at the speedo I was at 150, and I know I was more than that when this happened.
(DO NOT LECTURE ME, I KNOW 150+ is STUPID)
I hear a loud scraping noise. Then the car lurched into the air like I ran over a small speed bump. I look behind me to see debris from my car all over the road. Thought it was my transmission exploding, or the rear end saying goodbye... I looked at my gauges, and everything was ok, but I threw it in Neutral anyways, and coasted to the exit in the middle of the bay onto the Causeway. I pull to a stop near where all the fisherman hang out... I frantically grab my flash light and dive under the hood... everything is ok, I dive under the car, everything is ok... the car is idling perfectly. I jump back in and slowly taxy around the area feeling the gears and diff, everything checks out fine... I pull to a stop again in the same place. I take a step back to find out wtf happend... where's my lip? Holy CRAP!?
The lip couldn't handle that much force apparently and it tore it off and I ran it over... PAHAHAHAHAH I am still laughing about it!~
Front Lip vs 150+mph .... LOL
That thing was held on by like 12 bolts... jesus.

You should have been very close to redline in 6th. I think it is only 155 or 156 which is about where drag vs our car's weight and power become equal. Of course your boosted so that makes up for it. After 140 the dotted lines in the center of the road look solid.
