Please, find and ride with me! Assuming we are in the same run group (I run B-Stock), try to park in the row farthest away from me, so we will the maximum time between your run and mine.
Sara T is a great novice instructor, be sure get with her and do the novice walk thru. It will familiarize you with the course and help you find the right line!
If you find me before the event, we can also walk the course.

S2000's are a lot of fun to autocross Jonathan! John Allen is a GREAT driver, and very friendly. If you'll take as many tips from him as you can, you'll have no problem getting used to the car and turning fast lap times. I'll be there Saturday and in Huntsville on Sunday, although I won't be in my S (posting a thread in a minute, so you'll see why). I'll be in a black Formula 500 car (it's obnoxious and ugly, you can't miss it haha). My name is Matt. Come find me and we can talk S2000's and auto-crossing for a while if you want.
Looking forward to it!
Matt

A couple of folks have had some questions about autocross (solo), so I thought I would add to the thread:
B'ham (Pelham), is a good place to run. They ALWAYS have lots of newbys and the novice instructor (Sarah) is great, so don't be intimidated.
You can find your 'solo' class here: http://www.scca.com/...o_Rules_May.pdf
Oak Park Amphitheater in Pelham.
registration and map here https://axwaresystem...lendar_main.php
You can pay on-site (if your racing, it's free to watch).
The general schedule is:
Gates open 7:30
Registration and Tech 8:00-9:15 (ish) They have to check to see that what your driving is safe.
Driver meetings 9:30
First car off 10:00
The clubs website is http://alscca.net/co...display.php?f=2
They have loaner helmets if you don't have one, and you can always ride even if don't compete.
If you are planning to run a tire gauge might come in handy to set tire pressures.
And almost forgot TAPE, so you can class and number you car.
If you run Novice the 'N" goes in front of your regular class (BS becomes NBS).
If you register as a Novice, you'll be handicapped and will compete against others who are newbys.
Added: Dress appropriately for the weather!! Wear sunscreen and bring water
(most sites will have bottled water but often run out)

I autocross once a month in Huntsville (where I live), and once a month in Birmingham (Pelham), with an occasional trip to Tullahoma and Nashville.
Here's a link to a 'master' 2012 schedule for the area, but each club has a website you should check for the latest info.
https://docs.google....a2t3azA2dUo0eGc
FYI -
Nashville is TR SCCA
Bham is AL SCCA
Huntsville is TVR SCCA
Chattanooga is CR SCCA
Tullahoma is TL SCC (not SCCA)
Atlanta is Atlanta SCCA
