Default S2000 headlight question

I was talking to ScubaDivin today and I saw an S2000 with the headlights on. I asked him when S2000 headlights started to look like every other car on the road. Just plain white lights. He didn't remember ever seeing an S2000 with the purple / blue headlights. I remember in the early days of the S2000 you could pick one out at night from a mile away just because of the funky headlight color. Am I the only one that remembers this? How about you older guys? When did the color change? Did the early cars headlights fade to white?

Hrmmm, last time I checked mine were still blue/purplish. More than any other car I've seen with HID's.

yep. you should be seeing a blue-ness when you stand and look. the closer to the plane of the light you get, the whiter the light seems. that is, of course, until the light of a thousand suns blinds you. HID FTMFW!!!

They have A LOT of flicker from the stiff suspension. I can still pick one out. It's rare I meet one though.

the s2k still has a little uniqueness to them but yeah a lot of other newer cars are coming with nicer and nicer headlights. my first car was a 1988 chevy nova and it had big square light bulbs for headlights not projector housings and itty bitty bulbs, i don't even think they sell those bulbs anymore, in the late 1990s i think half the bulb inventory was these types.

His are not tinted, they are 8000K output xenon bulbs. Our stock bulbs are 4300K output.
