I had my AP1's done
in Bowling Green...KY

it was under $250

took about 2 weeks

that included the sandblasting (b/c the factory wheel has a clear on it, plus road grime and imperfections)

results...I like em.

I've got a friend local that owns a powdercoating shop. Even being good friends with the guy I had to wait a week. Your gonna have to come up with another ride for at least that long....It helps to have a spare set of wheels. Also plan on the cost/hassle of getting the tires dismounted and remounted. I doubt the powdercoater will do that for you. Make sure the tire shop has a rubber head for their wheel mounting machine too.

oh yeah, pro's/con's...

I loved the results. I might even do it again....I sold my other set because I needed money, but I loved my wheels.

No real downside. Nosman heard a rumor that powdercoating can weaken the aluminum, but I think that's BS. The heat of cooking the wheels is not that hot. 450 degrees IIRC.
