Default Oil Pan Removal

I was thinking about taking my oil pan off because my turbo presently has the oil return feeding in to the drain plug hole of the oil pan. everytime you want to change the oil, you would have to disconnect the hose, drain, and then reconnect. Since this will be the first oil change since going turbo, I thought it mike make since to drain, remove the pan and then have Walker weld a fitting next to drain hole so I can keep the hose hooked up all the time and use the drain plug normally.

Is there anything tricky with removing the pan? I have not been underneath the car in a while, but I am assuming it is just removing a bunch of bolts? Should I replace the pan gasket with a new one? Also what would the torque values be on the bolts?

Or do they make a Y fitting that would allow me to not have to do anything?

IIRC you have to take a bunch of shit off to get it off. AC stuff, plastic stuff, etc to get to all the bolts. That is what Honda told me when I had mine replaced. Slows or Wilbur can prob shed more light. Since I'm posting pictures today:

Well, that is always a very fast way to drain the oil. What happened?

nothing has to come off to remove the pan. just a bunch of 10mm bolts. also there is no pan gasket honda uses sealant. I reccomend going to the dealership and picking up a can of ultra flange sealent

Will thanks of the diagram. It was a pleasure meeting you. I will get the pan off and get the sealant. Please also let me know what that lip would cost and what I might need to do to make that happen.

Construction in the road left sharp jagged rocks in the middle of the lane. I was behind a dump truck so I didn't see it until it was too late.

It is written that the city is liable for anything over a 2" difference but a nice letter from the city pretty much told me to go screw myself.

I just bought a new one. It was too far gone IMO. It was right where the oil pickup was. I got it towed to Honda and they fixed it. I hadn't had my car very long either.
