I've never owned a Mac. We had a Mac lab at Auburn and I crashed the hell out of one. Who says they are crash proof, lol. Anyway one of the girlfriends had one and it was ok. Chris likes is macbook pretty well I think.

IDK I can fix shit in Windows. I can replace cards, boards, etc. I have no clue how to work on a Mac. I would stick to PC myself for probably this reason only PRICE.

Damn son! I cringed when I passed 40k this past summer. Sitting on 42.5K now.
I don't put as many miles on it as I used to. Living in MS really put it on there. I've only got one car. I honestly don't drive it hard that often. I do make up for it at Auto-x.

When is the next AutoX? I want to come, but I've got to get some new tires before I can run the car. I'm looking at getting some 17" wheels and sticky tires.

I'll be using it for graphic design/Illustration work.

Mac (and pc) owners please advise.

might be a good idea to go with the iMac for starters
it should be plenty enough for your needs, then if you are still going hard core in a couple of years, you can move up to something more heavy duty
the iMac will make a great trickle down computer when that happens

that's the one thing I DON'T like about the iMacs

the fact that the monitor will far outlive the hardware that's hot-glued to it
so that forces you to hang on to out of date hardware longer than you should, or you end up trashing a perfectly great monitor before it's time

(other than that, you can't go wrong)
