Default NFR mirror paint fading

Anyone else experiencing fading paint on the top of their mirrors? My car isn't garaged, so I expected some fade, but this is absurd. I'm not quite sure what to do about it. Repaint it one day, perhaps? Buy new mirrors from ebay? Whatever I do won't be for a while, because my car won't be protected for a few more years yet.

It's unfortunately common on all red cars in the south. Keep lots of wax on the car is the best prevention.
