I'm sorry guys. I typed wrong earlier in a hurry. My rears are 255/40/17, but this is still less actual tread width than OEM.
My alignment with the stock wheels and tires was set up with -1 degree front camber, so I guess I could reduce that. I think rear camber was about as far as it could be pushed already. I don't really understand how increasing understeer in the front helps the oversteer in the back.
Can anyone recommend a good alignment shop in Birmingham?
By the way, I just drove home in that heavy rainstorm with the Eagle F1 tires on. Even drove through some standing water. These tires are terrific in the rain. Just amazing actually. Too bad the rear contact patch isn't a bit wider. But hopefully alignment will help the rear oversteer.
