New S2K Owner
Hello everyone. This is my first time posting on a forum like this as well as owning an S2K. Bought an 02 AP1 as a toy because I’ve always wanted one. The previous owner had some things done (exhaust and mid-grade coil-overs) installed that I want to have removed, as well as general maintenance on the vehicle. I live in the Huntsville, Al area and would love some guidance on a local go to mechanic as well as some other S2K owners to converse with. Any info is appreciated!!

Welcome!! We usually have some days at my house to take care of routine items. Anything from changing oil to valve adjustment can be performed by owners and I’m happy to provide guidance.
As far as a formal shop for repairs it really depends on what you’re needing. For routine (things that you just don’t want to do), I’d use Diehl or the dealer. For more serious stuff like a clutch replacement, Fusion works or Bryant brothers in Decatur. There’s also a Honda certified mechanic and S owner in Murphresboro Tn that is the best, although somewhat inconvenient. Also, if you are o Facebook there is more activity here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/alabamas2k/
You’re welcome to PM me directly with any issues or concerns, and hopefully we’ll get back to doing shop days here soon.
I’m really serious about avoiding COVID, but with cooler weather we should be able to mask up and work in my shop with the doors up.
