Default NEED HELP VAFC

So i bought my s2000 used over a year ago. It came with a vafc installed. Earlier today i unplugged it and he s2000 would run very strange. It wouldnt rev up past 3000 rpm and unless gas was given to it, the car would die. went through this for over 30 minutes.
I plugged the vafc back in and the car ran normally.

Any ideas?

Vafc reset to almost factory settings after about a week of driving. Was it hard wired or p&p? Sounds like you might be in safe mode. Cel on?

I had a vafc in my car when I purchased it as well. Same thing, when I unplugged it, car ran like shit. It's almost as if the car is still trying to run off the wires that are spliced or hardwired in, but with no VAFC, causing it to run like shit.

Get that thing and all of the wires out of there......I did, and haven't looked back.

It's hardwired to the engine harness or if your lucky has a Plug an play harness. Unf@#k the harness and sell it on ebay.

i had a vafc before but no problems when i removed it. unplug the vafc and disconnect the battery, later reconnect the ecu and the battery. there shouldn't be any residual effects from a vafc. all it does is lean out wide-open-throttle only and change vtec engagement points.
