Holy Crap!!! I forgot that is mothers day weekend, and it is also graduation weekend for the local universities here. Maybe we need to do the weekend before. Whatever we decide, we need to do it within the next week. We discussed it tonight at our meet some and had some ideas and questions for the group.
#1 - When would you be coming in?
#2 - How long of a drive would you want to do? 2-4 hours with a lunch break.
#3 - Whould you want to go visit the Space and Rocket Center musuem and ride some of the rides?
#4 - How many for sure are coming.
These are things to think about. Ponder them with the date and begin to post your ideas here. Then we can move forward from there.

I can do a 1 day event on the 8th. I would most likely leave in the early AM (early for me anyways) and be in Huntsville around 12. A visit to the Rocket center sounds fun, so does a group drive as long as everyone is somewhat behaved. I hate driving in a group where everyone plays the I'm in front game. It's especially annoying on unfamiliar roads. If you guys want to switch the dates to the weekend before that's fine with me.

You only want to do a 2 hour drive? I had figured we would do around 2 hours, break for lunch, and then another hour or 2 back. That would take us down by the lake area and then into some mountains. It is up to the group. As for the crazy driving, I don't think that is going to be a problem. It is just going to be a spirited drive, with some nice scenery.
As for the Space and Rocket Center, there are some excellent photo ops to be had there! I hope to get us permission to park around the shuttle and the SR-71 for some group pics.
