lowering seats technical question
I know there are some Honda mechanics on here. I'm having a discussion here:

Can my theory be confirmed? What to do with the SRS sensor when using replacement rails?
This mod does lower the seats. Fully back they rub on the carpet hard. Don't think it hurts anything.

Personally I wouldn't zip tie it to anything. I'd rather keep it in the stock location and build a bracket to make it work.
Then again I can't say exactly what I would do since being I've never seen the backyard rails and what I'm actually working with.

I have a welder. It would probally be a minor deal to fabricate a bracket and tack it on. Even easier if you are willing to use the bracket off your old rails. I would be happy to look at it on Mod day.

On closer inspection I am sure that the bags will deploy so long as it's plugged in. The oem mounting is designed to reduce the force of the bags when people sit closer to the steering wheel.

I can't recommend modifying the seat rails that changes where the Seat weight sensor mounts. If the airbags don't deploy correctly and you get hurt worse because of it, I can be liable.

The sensor is mounted to the stock rail. The aftermarket rail has no place to mount it. Leaving the sensor plugged in but not attached to the rail eliminates the weight and seat postition function.
