Default Just changed the oil, diff and tranny

Just changed the Oil, tranny fluid and rear diff fluid. here is a break down of the costs. I will be changing the plugs tomorrow. Dealership wanted 18.95 per plug for the same NGK platinum plugs i found at autoparts store for 9.99.

Purchased from Honda
2 Quarts Manual Tran Fulid- 14.54
1 Honda Oil Filter- 11.68
Trans crush washer- .60
Oil pan crush washer- .32

Purchased from autoparts store
12" filler spout for diff and tran re-fill- 3.79
1 quart Mobil 1 synth diff fluid- 10.89
6 quarts Mobil 1 synth oil- 40.00

Dealership wanted 250.00 to perform all of this service.

I know it seems that Hondas services are higher than Toyotas. I think they wanted 40.00 for just an oil change, and that is mostly likley not synth. oil

I changed the oil today in my 89 325i, cost $19.46.
"bartender, bring me 5 quarts of your cheapest 10w-40 and a filter made from bamboo..."

i dont hate the dealer. some things they are competitive on, but it seems hondas service prices are high than comparable dealers such as toyota. i mean the same plugs are double the price, its not like honda made the plugs.

I've got to do mine soon. I'm probably going to try the Amsol stuff in the diff. I use GM SFM for the tranny and straight up GTX 10w30 from Walmart. Always OEM filter though. I need to do my clutch fluid while I'm at it. Got some Superblue at home. I did the brake fluid last year.

I think i'm going to go with just OEM plugs, unless Wilbur or Chris says otherwise. Going to turn over 100k in the next week or so.

Good info i paln to do all my own maintance on the S. Its way cheaper that way and i know that its geting done the right way

Ok plugs are in and running good cost break down below

4-NGK Laser Iridium Plugs 9.99 each

So I completed all of this for around 140.00-150.00
