So, yesterday I was blowing leaves and got something in my eye. Didn't worry much about it, but it kept bothering me. I was rubbing it and whatnot, kinda thought it would eventually work out. I was about to go to bed and took a look in the mirror. Just to the inside of my cornia I could see a little debris, but it was stuck and not "floating around." I tried for a while to get it out, but couldn't. I thought that it might work it's way out over night, but agian no luck. It was starting to really hurt this morning so I went to the urgent care office and the Doc was able to get it out, looked like a big splinter!!!! The freaking thing was embedded in my eye and I have to wear a stupid eye patch for 36 hours to prevent infection. He squirted lydocane in my eye, so the whole right side of my face is numb.

OUCH!!!!!
I ran eyeball first into a bush once when I was little. NOT FUN!!!
I suggest you wear a pirate hat for the duration of your patch time.

The other day I had to do some work on our chimney flue. I was smart enough to wear safety glasses for that...
