Ok, let me get this straight... If i get the "Tha ACT pressure plate, AP1 flywheel" and remove the 2 little pieces in the slave, the car will behave quite a bit more like its supposed to?

I sometimes get clutch slippage going into 4th with the CDV still in.

but if you took it out, that slippage would go away? I live down in mobile/daphne, al area... if you plan on doing this mod soon, let me know, i'd love to watch, and learn.

im considering it as a possible mod, soon.

I think ive met you before... sesm last year? GPW/wTan? Your GF was with you...

We did meet on the SESM trip. I've considered it also, but I've heard someone mention removing the CDV with the stock clutch can cause premature clutch wear as the stock AP2 flywheel is a hefty 25lbs. That's pure rumor from searching the topic here on S2ki. I plan to eventually do the same as wilbur and install an AP1 flywheel (13lbs), ACT pressure plate, and stock disc.

Removing the CDV stops the slippage.

The AP2's are still cursed with a heavy flywheel, and the AP1 flywheel makes them behave more like a AP1.

I still have the slave mod I've never gotten Slow to install. From what I've read, it requires a new clutch in a few months. So I'll just hold off until mine dies from natural causes and then put in all the aforementioned goodness.

It's not going to kill the clutch in a few months. Except for the heavier flywheel it's just like the AP1 setup.
