Funny noises from under the hood
Hey guys,
I've had an intermittent clicking sound coming from the engine bay when I'm idling at a light. My limited knowledge tells me that it might be a timing belt. Any ideas of what I should look for to confirm/deny this?
I'm a bit over 61k miles so it's about time to take her into the dealership, anyway. I guess they can diagnose and fix it, but I hate getting screwed out of money. Any suggestions are welcome.

Not the timing belt these cars have chains. Maybe the A/C compressor clutch you hear engaging. Let your car idle and if you hear it with the A/C on then turn it off and see if you still hear the sound. Otherwise its pretty hard to diagnose via internet.

I haven't used the A/C yet this year, so that's not it. I have no idea what an evap purge solenoid is, let alone sounds like. This is a new noise, just cropped up in the past month. Does it matter? It might have something to do with the warmer weather.
Yeah, it is hard to diagnose a random sound without hearing it. It might be a problem for the dealership...
