Default Ever consider meeting at Barber Motorsports track?

Has the prospect of meeting at the Barber Motorsports track (http://www.barbermotorsports.com) ever been discussed? It looks like a very nice track. Thoughts?

Barber Motorsports park is very nice! The problem right now is the time available to rent. Porsche has rented almost every open weekend from them to do their driving school. Then if it is open, you have to be a club to rent it, which means there probably needs to be a few of us. I think as we grow in numbers around here, and things get even more organized, a track day there is imminent. Good thinking though. Did you see where some of the guys from the Montgomery area are getting track time near Talladega and then doing some mountain runs near Cheaha? You need to come over for that.

When I was looking for all of the Alabama owners the other night and sending them PM's to come join us, I found nvizabl1. On their occupation they listed Barber Motorsports Park. They read the PM, but never replied. I wish they would have, as they may have some major insite to doing an event there! Just alittle FYI.

BMW, Ferrari & Porsche are all renting the track this year. Unfortunately, the cost was b/t $350-$450 per person if I remember correctly.

I would love to drive on Barber again(I had several medium speed laps at lunch time one day), but my wife thinks I spend too much on cars already for me to spend that kind of money on a track day. TGPR is much cheaper/safer for a lot less money if we get the right amount of people. Also, the drive through Cheaha State Park is lots of fun.
