Default Car Update

Still being worked on. Insurance dragged their feet forever, then a guy at work who promised to get it for me put me off for two weeks (should've just taken Andy up on his offer, I would have had it here a week sooner).

The car sat outside Norm's for almost a week and a half. The lady inside said she would order all the parts off the insurance appraisal and thought they would all be in in the next day or two. (right!)

They finally sent it to Jerry Damson to get all the mechanical work done first. They didn't want to do any body work untill the car was rolling. For over a week, a new part had to be ordered each day as they found more and more damage underneath. The car is finally back at Norms to get the body work done.

I've been driving around in my Mother-in-law's Miata, and it SUCKS! I feel like I'm driving an old Civic with the roof cut off. My knees are in the steering wheel, and since it's an automatic, it doesn't like me to shift it while moving.

Anywho, thought everyone might like to hear an update. Here's the car at Norms:

Hey B
Good to hear from you. Sorry things are going so slow. I know that's got to be driving you crazy. Hopefully things will start coming together soon, and you'll be all set when this hellish heat wave is over.

SSS Brian. (That's Sorry So Slow in text talk)

Don't settle for anything that rubs you wrong initially. Be patient with the repairs to make sure they are done right though. I feel you on the parts BS. When I wrecked my first car I had to look at it literally 20ft from where I worked for a month.

So sorry to hear that you were the SESM victim this year. When I asked Chris if there were any accidents this year I was floored...

Brian ... been wondering how it was going.

If it'll help while you're in the back up car ... I found my girls' old barbie knee pads they used to wear with their first set of roller blades ... almost threw them out, but didn't for some reason ... I'll be glad to drop them by for you.
