Best dealer to service and buy in Birmingham
I am moving to Birmingham. I have an 04 to have serviced. Where should I go that they'll take good care of my car?
Also, where would you go to buy and get a good deal in the future?
Thanks,
Ken

I drive my car to Tuscaloosa for service. That's simply a statement of my own opinion of the Tameron service department and dealership. I met an accord owner in town who does the same thing. It just depends on how much you love your car and how much you value a great staff. Additionally, Townsend Honda (Tuscaloosa) will let you watch...

It should be noted that I didn't buy my car in Tuscaloosa. I got it in Texas. Townsend still treats me like gold. They purchased two wheels for me since they scraped them when mounting my rear tires. They also recognize us S drivers...

Avoid Roebuck Honda for anything.
I take my car to Temerron for service, they do ok for me. I will NEVER buy from them again.
From what I've heard, Neil Bonnet might be a good place to buy from.

Roebuck Honda
The guy who worked on my car forgot to:
-close my hood
-tighten my axle nut
-install the brake shims correctly
-wipe of the greasy finger prints.....
oh, he couldn't find the vibration either (both 1/2 shafts were bad)
It was on my 'Lude not the S
The car went in for a vibration. They also wanted to change my Master Cylinder because it was "soft". That was over a year ago.
They gave me a cheap rental KIA for a couple of days so they could fix the screw ups (Sat to Mon night). I live 40 minutes away so it was not convenient.
I had left them my car on a Sunday and flew out of town for the week.
Their shuttle was supposed to run from 7am to 5pm. When my flight landed at 4:00 I called and they said the guy had gone for the day (I told them wednesday when I was coming in), $12 cab fare and no reimbursment.
Another guy had his engine rebuilt there and the nex time he had some work done they found the upper A arm bolts loose.
There is a Dealer in Montgomery that is rumoured to have a good wrench man

Tameron is as apathetic and really disregards you unless you purchased from them. That was the first question they asked me when I went there. Though, they'd probably be just as rude if I did purchase the car there...
If you can swing a drive to Montgomery, go for it...
Tuscaloosa is far enough for me, but I'll be going by Montgomery on my way home (whenever that will be).

Have only had fluid changes done so far. Use Sunny King in Oxford. The main person for S work is Avery. No problem getting to talk with him on anything. They have let me into the work area to watch when I had the diff fluid changed.
