‘S2KI’ Members Offer Ways to Pass the Long Days

If the pandemic has kept you from truly enjoying your S2000, no worries. The S2KI members have ideas to maintain your sanity.

It feels like a long, dreary, ever-rainy day, hasn’t it? Granted, you can put the top (either one) up on your S2000, but there’s that the ever-present danger hiding around the bend waiting for the time to strike. Thus, while the world fights the good fight against the pandemic, you and yours are taking refugee with your roadster at home.

What will you do until the sun comes out again? Well, we happened upon a thread in our own S2KI forums filled with ideas to pass long days ahead.

Honda S2000s

The thread was started by forum member dlq04, who threw in a lot of ideas right out of the box. These include “[writing] a book, blog or play,” working on your S2000 (or any other vehicle), use video messaging apps to talk to loved ones, learn a new language (like Japanese), and so on.

Meanwhile, other members have voiced what they’ve been doing away from their S2000s. Tof is streaming a senior fitness class on Facebook, and Morris is set to continue scanning all of his family photos.

Of course, if you’re in your house long enough, you’ll likely notice some things that could use some touching up. Or, maybe you’ve put off a remodeling project because you were busy remodeling your S2000. Why not follow in the footsteps of zeroptzero? He’s been painting a couple of rooms in his house so far, with more painting to come if his wife demands it.

Fresh Air

Still, you’ll probably want to go outside at some point, if only to get some exercise and fresh air. S2KRAY is riding his bike “35 miles every other day,” and playing a few rounds of golf in between. And one of our former forum mods, zdave87 is doing eight miles of walking a day, as well as planning to learn to golf.
