Honda France Planning 20th Anniversary S2000 Meeting
Over 100 French S2000 owners have already committed to bringing their cars to the famous Le Mans race track.
Planning a trip to France this summer? Maybe you should. Honda’s official French Facebook page has announced a gathering of S2000 owners next month.
The meetup will take place during an event called Classic Days on July 7th, a week before France celebrates Bastille Day in the 14th. Like we said, it’s a great excuse for a vacation.
The meeting is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Honda S2000’s release. It will take place at the Bugatti Circuit, part of the famous Circuit de la Sarthe – the same famous race track where the 24 Hours of Le Mans race is held each year.
Apparently, Honda France planned the event after several French S2000 enthusiasts inquired about it. According to the post, response has been overwhelming, and over 100 French S2000 owners have committed to bringing their cars to the track for the event.
That’s a pretty impressive turnout, and there’s still a month to go before the event, so we expect many more cars to show up. We can’t wait to see pictures from the event after it happens. Of course, you know we’ll share them here for you to ogle as well.
Cars have a wonderful way of bringing people together. We’re sure that we’ll see well over a hundred cars in the photos – and hundreds of smiling faces.
The Facebook post currently has over 400 reactions – a quarter of them being the “love” reactions. There’s also 100 comments on the post, despite the fact that, as of this writing, the meetup was only announced two days ago. It’s nice to see that French S2000 owners are just as rabid and passionate as S2000 owners here in America.
Many of those comments are folks sharing photos of their beloved Honda S2000s, while several others are enthusiasts excitedly tagging their friends. Our French may not be the best, but from what we can tell, it’s shaping up to be a great time for all involved.
