Creative ideas to accommodate a GPS unit into your Honda S2000
How many times have you considered yourself to install a GPS unit in your S2000? This option was available in the JDM S2000 model and many owners ordered in the past that particular part to incorporate a GPS unit or a two-din device on the dashboard. This was the closest factory look available for the S2000, but from time to time many owners introduced some creative ideas.
A simple solution is to either get a windscreen mount, however in some parts of the world this is illegal for safety reasons. Another solution is to install a bracket to the dashboard and mount the GPS unit. However we all remember our previous Garmin GPS Cup Holder Install write up, but few members of the S2KI Community took the concept a bit further to introduce several interesting ideas and solutions.
One of them was a great quality custom-built windshield roof rail piece to mount a Garmin GPS Unit. You could easily view the screen and access the controls just above your head while driving. The latest solution is in progress since last October and so far the outcome is really impressive. A slim Garmin GPS unit, once again, was used to be accommodated in the car’s radio cover. Pretty tight but the result is impressive enough to even dress up the inside rear part of the radio cover with a carbon fiber touch.
