Default CFL Honda...

Has anyone placed a large order with these? I'm looking to buy a clutch kit, master cylinder and knock sensor and it comes to about £400, which is massivley cheaper than buying the parts here. However i can't find out how much they are going to charge for delivery, and obviously im going to get violated by hmrc when they arrive.

Does it actually end up alot cheaper?

Thanks
Ryan.

Much cheaper, I've saved over £1,000 in the last year.

Have a search, there are plenty of posts on the subject. You will need to create an account and then send them a message about delivery charges. they usually get back pretty quickly.

To calculate costs you need to get the total amount for parts and delivery, convert it to GBP, then multiply that figure by 1.045 for duty, and then that total by 1.2 for VAT.

I've been lucky so far and haven't had any excess charges.

Delivery costs more depending on weight, so a clutch kit may not be cheaper though.

I've done 2 large orders with them and I would definitely recommend them. The procedure is to go through the checkout (like a normal website) and someone from CFL will email you promptly to give you a shipping quote and you will need to reply to that to confirm if you want to proceed with the order. They use Fed Ex as a delivery company and you will receive an invoice for the VAT from them a few weeks after you receive your order usually.

My last order came in 2 days after processed!

I think it depends on what and how much you order from them. I looked to order and engine bracket from them yesterday and they quoted me £17. It was going to be over £25 with delivery. Got one from my local stealers this morning for £11.50 including vat.

Surely you have still made a significant saving? I've bought from CFL Honda plenty of times. Strongly recommended by me

Possibly, but there is a new clutch kit FS on here for £350, £100 for master cylinder and then i need to source a knock sensor.

I'll email them for a quote anyway, just bought a gearbox from integrastella, and had my insurance renewal on friday expensive month.

The money you save on a new knock sensor will more than pay for the shipping and VAT on everything else. I haven't been charged VAT yet ( 4 + orders now) only the FEDEX handling fee.

I agree with UF. I ordered a knock sensor Thursday evening and it arrived by Monday afternoon. It also only cost £113 for that and a camber bolt and cam including shipping with FedEx!

Be careful with handed parts...I think the master cylinder is and CFL could not supply RHD parts when I enquired.

Cheers,
Chris
