Default Tax Day Tom's Turbine Drive - Sunday, April, 15, 2012

Want to play on some newly paved roads north of Denton? Love to drive? How about seeing beautiful vistas and an unforgettable ridge along the Red River. Not to mention wind turbines on the way. Well this drive is for you!

We will meet at 10:00 am at the Lucky Lady Convenience Store.
101 N Frontage Rd
Valley View, TX 76272

It is on the west side of I-35.

We will continue on through Era, Forestburg, and St. Jo. North of St. Jo through Muenster is where the Turbines are. We should be able to see the construction of the bases for the turbines.

You will get to see the Red River which separates Texas and Oklahoma. The river is actually red colored because of the soil. There is virtually no traffic on these roads because of the rural nature of the area. We will then make our way back through St. Jo and do a quick double back on FM 677.

When we get to Muenster, you will be able to sample German food and beer at the Center Restaurant.

So who is in?

And remember, please check all fluids (brake, clutch, coolant, and especially oil) and tires for pressure and thread depth (4/32) before coming on the drive.

As long as I can be back in Arlington in time to make it to my softball game at 6 I'm pretty sure I can make this one. Sounds great!
