The "Bitterman" Rollbar is almost ready for production folks. Here are pictures of version 1, which will have harness mounts welded on to allow for a harness (the only problem so far). A second design will look different in appearance and will also allow for harness mounting.

Contact me at aaron@speedventures.net, or abitterman@aol.com.

My phone is 323-461-4795.

Pictures are below:

Aaron,

looks good, great photos!

Will you be able to supply the cosmetic pieces? Are you able to post a price?

Thanks,

Ted

p.s. Hey, that's my red S2000 at Laguna Seca!

Does your guy do custom roll cages? I finally got a hold of a SCCA GCR.

the price will be around $575, which includes powder coating to any color and mounting bolts. The price may change a little once I finish making it ready for harnesses. Then again, it may not change at all, depending on the solution.

Cosmetic stuff is still in development. Someone else may come up with something once people start installing them. But I'll work on it as soon as I finish the harness mounts.

Hi Aaron,

Looks great. Would love to see version 2 when completed as well. I am definitely interested after 2 years of waiting.

"The Bitterman Bar"

ORIF,

The second design will look different because the diagonal support bars will be curved to provide a wrap around harness mount. We'll see how it turns out. I hope to have one built soon so people can choose between them.

I guess the goal is for no one to be "bitter", or something. Doesn't sound like a good name for candy though.

please let us all know the progress of production, I would be very interested at this moment for a bolt in bar that would pass inspection for TCRA or other local time trial events.

Vapors S2K,

I'll keep everyone posted. Meanwhile, you should run time trials in the S2000 Challenge!! (www.speedventures.net, formerly Wurth Motorsports). Or have you already been to our events?

The bar I have was approved by a local shop for speedtrialusa. Most people think it will be approved by tcra and others, given how beefy it is.

hehe, I know I know. Timing is a problem with me as I'm neck deep in school and every so often I get a break from classes here or there, I like to make it out to the track. Hopefully I can make it to one of the s2kchallenge events.
