Update # 1 2/25/01- Goooood News!!
I had a brief meeting with the Marketing Manager at the Irvine Spectrum. They love the idea and have already a 150+ parking slots for us, blocked and secured. We are waiting right now for the approval of the IRVINE COMPANY. (they have the last words)
1. 150+ cars secured block parking
2. Need approval.
3. We have 150-250 Seats for 2 fast 2 furious RESERVED
4. We are contacting the Irvine World News
5. We are contacting OC Weekly
6. We have permission from Irvine Spectrum, BUT NOT YET for Irvine company, to place 4 cars On display in from of the movie theather and possibly 1 in the movies.
7. We just obtained the contact info for Universal Pictures.
8. We are working on a food location, blocked for 200 people.
Please keep watching this thread for updates, and don't miss a post. Latest development is happening everyweek! This event FOR NOW is PUBLIC. Once we hit 100 Cars It will be private Address and locations points will be emailed personally. This will be private because we only have "X" amount of parking and limited seating. Please sign up now, we are 50% full already .
At the (TBA) meeting location, each car will be marked and only marked cars will be allowed in to the secured parking area designated for us.
I will update you guys next week as we move further into this historical event.
BTW: I will choose which cars on display. Thanks!
