I just compared Blackfire vs. Zaino under florescent lights on a black vehicle. I won't spare you the details other than: BUY ZAINO.

The Blackfire left a light 'grey' coating behind... (Yes, It was dry and buffed). The 'grey' color was "as-compared-to-Zaino" in the clear. I also applied Zymol 'Ital'.. The Zymol was more shiny..so much for "Shines like a Carnuba". I was very disappointed. OHH-- the product was applied at 90(f).

Personally, I'de use Zaino or P21S over this product.... I want my ($64 for the full 3 products) money back.

Hi Aaron,
No problem. We appreciate you trying our products. Please return the three
BLACKFIRE products to us by mail or UPS and we'll be glad to refund the full
purchase price of the products.

As with any product, we had to make decisions regarding trade-offs and
compromises and we knew that some people would not agree with the decesions
we made. Most of these decisions were made in favor of low solvent content
and the type of shine at the expense of ease of application. Zaino and
Klasse will produce a brighter shine. Our goal was to create a deeper shine
that more mimics the wet look of the better carnauba waxes. We also wanted
to reduce the waiting (cure time) between coats and make minor paint swirls
less noticeable.

You have us stumped with the grey coloring you're experiencing. Two of the
test vehicles we used in developing BLACKFIRE are black and we paid special
attention to black-car problems. It was because of black cars that we
changed our recommended application from using a damp applicator to using a
dry applicator. We found on black cars that using a damp applicator left a
haze on the surface that was difficult to remove. Applying BLACKFIRE with a
dry applicator in small circular motions eliminated the haze entirely.

We detailied well over a hundred vechiles before releasing BLACKFIRE and
there were a handful that "just didn't look right". Our chemists don't know
if this is because of what was on the car previously or maybe the phase of
the moon that day or what we had for breakfast. There is still a little
alchemy in this business and things happen that we have no explanation for.

If you would take just a moment to help us before returning the products, I
would appreciate it. Please take the All Finish Paint Protection with a dry
applicator and do a one foot circle on the hood or trunk. Wipe on, buff off.
Is the "grey coloring" still there?

Thanks for your help. We appreciate your business and look forward to
serving your future car care needs.
Happy motoring,

Terry Freiberg

amartin, $200 bucks a month. Wow, I thought I was bad (probably no more than $50 a month). And thank you for the test.

I will continue to support Classic, they do have great service. I just won't be buying any Blackfire.

Their customer support and attitude was far-above-and-beyond what I expected. I encourage ALL to buy from these honorable people.

Okay...trying more of it on larger body panels... still not impressed compared to other available products.

Ease of use: Requires 2-3 steps... still not easier than others.

Application: Goes on 'think'....takes multiple passes to remove. In my case, about 5-6 passes to completely remove. It has NOT been easy to wipe off and requires more effort than I would like to put forth.

Shine: Average... I've seen better.

Durability: Time will tell... I will post water-droplet sizes in a few weeks.
