Default Mugen Roll Bar/Cage

Hi all,

I have just installed a mugen roll cage and the soft top frame comes in contact as you open/close the roof. Is this normal? It happens both sides and it will wear through the paint if I don't sort it. I brought the cage second hand so don't have instructions. Before you ask it doesn't look like its had damage as everything bolted up exactly as you would expect.

Here is a couple picture of where it hits and the mark it leaves, its hits just at the start of the radius

Do I need to bend/adjust/tweek the softtop frame? I don't want it to wear through my paint!!

Did the previous owner have it installed? Was there paint scratches there already?

I presume so and I can't remember as it's been powder coated since. Never thought it would come in contact. I think I will have to bend the roof frame slightly so it doesn't contact.

It shouldn't rub. Mine is far from rubbing. Even if you have the instructions it won't do any good lol.

Is your the original soft top or has it been replaced?

I believe it's real mugen. I am starting to bend the roof brackets slowly. Can't see any other way round. It's only the left hand side that hits now as taken some of the plastic coverings off the brackets.

Ive been trying to locate a pic of an s with the soft top up and the cusco 4/5 point bar which is identical to the mugen. No luck so far, but looking for the same reasons!

I think it's a copy, the bend radius of the main bar is much bigger of a mugen as I was sent a picture of almost the same angle as mine
