Default Fitted new GT striker plates

Recently my roof catches (drivers side one mainly) started to rattle and squeek. I sprayed them with grease, checked the screws were tight, put plastic fish tank tubing on them and they still rattled so I decide I'd try a set of GT striker plates. The difference is huge! After fitting them I could not even do the catch up with the plastic tubing still in place as they were that tight a fit. Now with the tubing removed I can do the catch up and it has a nice tensioned feel to it when you lock the catch in also with the catch locked if you tap the catch with you finger it makes no noise what so ever unlike before which when tapped would make a rattly noise. To look at, the GT and normal striker plates are quite different with the GT one being smaller and having rubber inserts aswell as having more of an angle on the part that the hook on the catch goes into to create more tension. £60 well spent
