I think the best part of this forum is the wealth of tech info and this is my way of giving back to everyone! I've learned quite a bit about offsets, spacers and oem wheels as I really like my ap2 oem rims and my 02+ nsx oem rims.
This is a summary thread sharing all my info on oem rims in one place. Before we start, let's share the basic specs:
my car: Dropped on Tien Flex coilovers with 1 finger gap, no fenders rolled
OEM s2000 AP2 rims:
17x7, +55
17x8.5, +65
OEM 02+ NSX rims:
17x7, +60
17x9, +56
For some reason when I did a search and asked around, no one knew the ideal final offets we needed to run on OEM ap2 rims on FACTORY TIRE SIZES.
I've ran various aftermarket rims/tires (Work, Volk, SSR) and none of them really had the look I wanted. I then tried a set of OEM NSX 2002+ rims and the rears fit PERFECT while the fronts needed a 15mm spacer to sit correctly.
*Note the OEM NSX front rim is 5mm LESS aggressive than our stock AP2 rims so using a 15mm spacer effectively means I'm getting 10mm more width per side, make sense? Since the NSX wheels are out for powdercoating, I am running the factory ap2 rims/tires again for now.
After testing a few different spacers, here's what I found that works:
ON AP2 OEM RIMS
Rears: Use 15-25mm H/R Integral spacers and the rubber fits flush on fenders
Fronts: Use 15mm H/R DRS Spacers with longer studs
ON NSX OEM RIMS
Rears: No SPACER NEEDED
Fronts: Use 15mm H/R DRS Spacers with longer studs
hope this info helps since I think the OEM wheels still look best!![hello.gif](https://www.s2ki.com/forums/images/smilies/hello.gif)

*UPDATE: 2/1/09: I ended up testing both 15mm and 25mm rears....

Note you can ONLY use the 25mm spacers if your wheels do not have the recessed cutouts or the nuts will hit the wheel

Note the recesed hubs on the back of the ap2 wheels but not the nsx wheels?

[quote name='ss04' date='Feb 1 2009, 09:42 PM'] Do you have any entire vehicle shots with the AP2 rims? This thread is great I was looking for some of this info
