Fall Colors Drive
Hi Folks,
As many of you know, I was originally planning to do this drive on Friday, Nov. 9th. However, I have been able to reschedule my Saturday morning event and am now planning to do this one day Fall Colors Driving Tour on Saturday, Nov. 10th. - Destination Talimena Scenic Drive Auto Tour - Information
If some of you would be interested in joining me on this drive let me know. Assuming the weather looks good, I am planning to leave relatively early on Saturday morning, November 10th. Eat lunch in Mena, Arkansas and then cruise the 54 mile scenic drive - fall colors should be at or around peak. After the drive and picture taking, I will be heading back to Dallas as I need to be back around 6:00 pm. Overall, mileage will be a little over 500 for the day. Some of you may want to making this into a two day trip so that you can do the scenic drive both directions, hike and find some other fun roads.
General details for this drive follow:
When: Saturday, Nov. 10th
8:00am (sharp): Leave from West Village Starbucks (Hwy 75 (West side) & Lemmon Ave) - MAP
11:30am: Lunch in Mena (Branding Iron BBQ & Steakhouse @ 11th Street & Hwy 59)
12:30pm-2:30pm: Scenic Drive and Picture Taking
2:30pm-6:00pm: Drive Back to Dallas
Contact Phone #: 214.789.1001
Take Care,

We're in. Amy's sister lives in Ft. Smith, so we'll probably integrate a visit somehow. We'll either spend the night there on Friday and meet you in Mena, or we'll go with you Saturday and go to Ft. Smith from Talihena.
Either way, this should be fun.

Dave,
I posted this in the ARKLATEX forum, some of us might attend, as it's a 184 mile trip from SHreveport... and those that are already in AR, and possibly some from OK.
Also, is there already something planned for that day with some others either from there or coming in from other areas ?
From your post, it sounds like you were already planning on going, but was there a reason or just something you wanted to do ?
Excuse my inquiries

Is the plan to go from Talihina to Mena or vice versa? Either way, I'll try to make it and round up some of the Oklahoma crew, too!
