Default Thoughts on the new CR?

Just curious what you all think of the new CR. I like the idea of a stripped down track edition, but I am not sure how I feel about all the 'bling'. Don't get me wrong the bodykit was done tastefully, but to me they should offer something more aggressive, similar to the Elise. Rollcage, racing buckets, exhaust, intake, and lower maybe even lower MSRP. You know, a racecar not a show queen. Thoughts?

Under $40K. My guess would be $37-38K MSRP.

I can't see how anyone would want this. I think enthusiasts will get a regular S, and the type of people who buy the S2000 because it "looks cool" will be the ones that get the CR. You know the type... the ones who don't come to this forum, who aren't real car enthusiasts, the ones who don't wave at other S owners.

Close to 40K is a joke. You can get an 04/05 for low 20s, add a hardtop and NICE looking lightweight wheels, and a turbo kit and still spend less than you would for this.

Oh, and IBTL

Ugly as sin imo. They'd have to remove the wing, replace the frontend and get rid of the things covering the roll hoops before I'd consider buying it, but by that point you're left with a regular S, so there'd be no point in me even buying it anyway. 40k? Yeah, good luck with that, Honda...

i can't believe that this is the CR......
Please Honda, just discontinue the S2000, this CR thing is just a joke.

My pretty modest expectactions were a 20 HP bump, 100 lbs weight savings, and some brakes.....was that too much to ask??
