Jelly Belly Factory Tour Group Drive
DATE: SATURDAY, MAY 14th
Where: Read below for CARAVAN meeting spots
TIME: SOUTH BAY--9:00am - Microcenter in Santa Clara
NORTH BAY/EAST BAY--10:30am - Treasure Island on the Bay Bridge
Agenda for the day of the meet
South Bay/SJ
Will meet at the Microcenter parking lot no later than 9am. Don't be late because around 9 to 9:15am we will be leaving for the drive up to Treasure Island. I suggest everyone arriving 15-30 minutes early. PLEASE DO NOT BE LATE.
North Bay/SF/San Mateo and East Bay/Hayward/Pleasanton/Danville
Will meet at Treasure Island no later than 10:30am.
South Bay members will be leaving SJ/Microcenter around 9am and I'm estimating we will arrive at Treasure Island area by 10:15am. I know it takes less than an hour to get there but always plan the unexpected, especially for the late arrivals. We should be at Treasure Island sometime between 10 to 10:30. We'll leave around 10:30-10:45 to Fairfield.
For those who do not know where Treasure Island is at, well it is the Island off the Bay Bridge (half way of the Bay Bridge). We'll all meet at the famous parking lot right next to the entrance of the Army base. We can probably take some money shots there too.
Then once we meet up, we'll all get back on the Bay Bridge and drive up on I-80 to Fairfield which should be a 1 1/2 hour drive or so. Getting on back the Bay Bridge should be no problem since we all have fast cars. Once we get on the Bay Bridge we'll drive speed limit so everyone can catch up. I want to make sure we don't lose anyone on this drive.
If you need my cell phone number just in case you get lost or need us to wait another minute for you, please PM me and I'll send it to you.

DRIVING TIPS Private Message (PM) me (Fred) get my #. This is just in case you get lost, arrive late, have problems during the drive, etc... This should be a easy drive since it does not involve any city street driving or twisties. If for whatever reason you get lost on the freeway, call anyone of us and we can slow down for you to catch up.
2. Check tire pressure, fluids etc. the night before the drive. Even though we are not driving twisties.
3. Car problems, getting pulled over and other things prohibiting you to move forward. Again, do not panic. Call me, a member or wave down the next group following you.
4. Gas and bathroom. Be sure to fill up your tank before meeting. We will probably be filling up somewhere in Fairfield. You should be fine with a full tank of gas since this is not a long drive.
5. Always put on hazards when you sense trouble ahead of you i.e. cops, sudden braking, car problems.
6. Do not bring attention to yourself or to the group. Doing donuts, over revving your engine at the parking lot, speeding on the freeway or driving in an unsafe manner will bring you and all of us down. Let's get through this safely!

DIRECTIONS DIRECTIONS
From Sacramento & Vacaville:
1. Head West on I-80.
2. Take the Highway 12/Abernathy Rd. exit in Fairfield.
3. Turn left at stop sign onto Abernathy Rd.
4. Continue straight through one stop sign and four stoplights.
5. After passing the fourth stoplight, turn left onto Courage Dr.
6. Turn left onto North Watney Way.
7.Turn left onto Jelly Belly Lane.
Approximate driving time from Sacramento is one hour.
From San Francisco & Vallejo:
1. Head East on I-80 toward Sacramento (from San Francisco, cross Oakland Bay Bridge to reach I-80).
2. Take the Highway 12 East/Rio Vista exit.
3. Turn right at the first stoplight onto Beck Avenue.
4. At next stop sign, turn right onto Courage Dr.
5. Turn right onto North Watney Way.
6. Turn right onto Jelly Belly Lane.
Approximate driving time from San Francisco is one hour.
From Napa and Sonoma:
1. Take Highway 29 to Highway 12 East (Jamison Canyon Rd.)
2. At junction with I-80 proceed East toward Sacramento.
3. At Fairfield exit I-80 onto Highway 12/Rio Vista.
4. Turn right at first light onto Beck Avenue.
5. Turn right onto Courage Dr.
6. Turn right onto North Watney Way.
7. Turn right onto Jelly Belly Lane.
Approximate driving time from Napa is 20 minutes.
From Contra Costa:
1. Take Highway 680 North to Fairfield.
2. At I-80 junction proceed East towards Sacramento.
3. At Fairfield exit I-80 onto Highway 12/Rio Vista.
4. Turn right at first light onto Beck Avenue.
5. Turn right onto Courage Dr.
6. Turn right onto North Watney Way
7. Turn right onto Jelly Belly Lane.
Approximate driving time from Contra Costa is 40 minutes.

OK so we got a few interested parties. More than likely it'll be after May 7th, so Hamiy you should be OK. I'm guessing right now if this event does happen it'll be sometime at the end of May or beginning of June.
